Purdue and the Steffey family have created a reward fund in the search for Wade Steffey, a freshman who has been missing since Jan. 13. The fund, set up through Fifth Third Bank, will hopefully create extra incentive to search for the lost Purdue freshman.

More than 300 people volunteered for a campuswide search effort to look for a missing freshman. Two Facebook groups devoted to the search for Wade Steffey, who’s been missing since early Saturday, listed the event to group members.

The items turned up in Thursdays community search, which included two cell phones, a set of keys, a watch band, a pair of shoes and a scrap of blue fabric, have all be declared unrelated to missing freshman Wade Steffey or insignificant by Purdue Police.
